Declaration on accessibility

We strive to make this website and mobile application accessible. The accessibility statement is required by the Bremen Disability Equality Act. The technical requirements for accessibility are based on BITV 2.0.

This digital accessibility statement applies to the website of DIGITAL HUB INDUSTRY Bremen e.V. at https://digitalhubindustry.de/

How accessible is the website?

This website is only partially accessible. It only partially meets the requirements of BITV 2.0.

Compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment carried out between August 1 and August 7, 2025.

Which areas are not accessible?

These areas are not accessible for the following reasons:

Incompatibility with BITV 2.0

Subareas that are not or not yet accessible:

Barrier: Insufficient color contrast

  1. Description: Several text and background color combinations do not meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
  2. Measures:
    • As part of the overall redesign of the website (by the end of Q1 2026), all color palettes will be revised and checked using an automated contrast checker.
    • Interim solution: Users are advised to use assistive tools to increase the contrast on their system or browser.

Barrier: Header navigation not fully accessible via keyboard

  1. Description: The main navigation and drop-down menus cannot currently be operated consistently with Tab, Shift + Tab, Enter, or the arrow keys.
  2. Measures:
    • As part of the development of a completely new website (to be completed by Q1 2026), the entire navigation will be designed and implemented from scratch to be accessible (full keyboard support, semantic<nav> structures, ARIA attributes).
    • Interim solution: Additional direct links to all important content pages will be added to the footer. These links are implemented as simple HTML anchors and are therefore accessible via the standard tab order of any keyboard.

Note on PDF documents:

Our website contains PDF documents that do not currently fully comply with accessibility requirements. This may result in some users, particularly those who use screen readers or other assistive technologies, having difficulty accessing the content.

When was the accessibility statement created?

This statement was created and revised on August 7, 2025.
