What economic opportunities are presented by the development and application of artificial intelligence? At which points should guardrails be applied and which areas are best regulated by societal partners?

We want to discuss these questions at our collaborative event, “Digitization and artificial intelligence: An agenda for Bremen” on Friday, March 24 2023 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the DIGITAL HUB Industry Bremen!

This event is being jointly organized by the Hans Böckler Foundation and the University of Bremen. It marks the beginning of “Shaping transformation: In concrete terms”, a new series of events through which the Hans-Böckler Foundation, together with its regional cooperation partners, hopes to shine a light on issues surrounding transformation.

Introductions by von Dr. Claudia Bogedan, Chair of the Hans Böckler Foundation, and Prof. Dr. Michal Kucera, Vice President for Research and Transfer at the University of Bremen, will be followed by keynote addresses by Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte, Mayor and President of the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, and Dr. Verena Bader, Vienna University of Economics and Business.  During the subsequent podium discussion, we will hear from and interact with representatives from the fields of science and politics and representatives of trade unions and social partners. This will be followed by an opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of the DIGITAL HUB Industry building.

You can register for the event via the followinglink, which will also be used for the live stream on 3/24/23.
