AI programs that take over the writing of texts for us are now accessible to everyone. Digitalization has become an integral part of our working and living environment. What economic opportunities can be found in the development and use of artificial intelligence? Where do guidelines need to be set, and where are the fields that are best regulated by social actors? The event “Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence: The Agenda for Bremen”, hosted by the Hans Böckler Foundation and the University of Bremen, will focus on this topic.

The event will be opened with keynote speeches by the Mayor and President of the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte, and Dr. Verena Bader from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. This will be followed by a discussion with leading representatives of Bremen’s social stakeholders.

The event is also the start of a new series entitled “Shaping transformation: in concrete terms”, with which the Hans Böckler Foundation, together with regional cooperation partners, aims to shed light on transformation issues. After all, the big changes are happening on a global scale, whether digitalization or decarbonization; the concrete debate, on the other hand, is taking place regionally, in companies, at universities, in state and local politics.
